We are looking for a motivated individual with leadership skills to join our Hillsboro, ND factory as the Maintenance Supervisor.
The purpose of this position is to direct the day-to-day inspection, maintenance and repair activities of assigned maintenance employees as applied to factory machinery and equipment and to installation and maintenance of capital projects.
The principal accountabilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Develops, implements, and evaluates maintenance policies and procedures making recommendations when necessary, ensuring “best practices.
”
Directs staff in the safe and timely maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment to minimize down time and contribute to maximization of productivity.
Effectively communicates maintenance and repair requirements to factory management and coordinates activities.
Promotes a positive work culture amongst the Maintenance and Factory teams.
Ensures all assigned projects are completed on time and within budgetary guidelines by effective planning, high productivity, and accurate tracking of projects.
Achieves highest level of scheduled compliance.
Participates in budget preparation and administration, coordinates purchasing and documentation and monitors maintenance expenditures.
Executes weekly planned job packages by assigning staff to appropriate projects and follows ups as needed.
Provides feedback to the Maintenance Planner regarding the quality and content of planned job packages.
Recommends or initiates personnel actions, such as hires, promotions, transfers, discharges, or disciplinary measures.
Investigates accidents or injuries and prepares reports of findings.
Successful candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or related engineering field preferred OR a minimum of three years of maintenance leadership experience.
Direct training and experience in maintenance engineering practices is required.
The incumbent must possess well-developed interpersonal and communication skills and be self-motivated and dedicated to effecting positive change in a traditional maintenance minded workforce, moving from a reactive to proactive maintenance philosophy.
An overall understanding of the sugar beet processing operation is also required.
Administrative skills and the ability to supervise and motivate people are essential.
