*JOB SUMMARY: *
The Lead Application Systems Analyst is part of the Enterprise Services Applications team tasked with delivering enterprise level applications for the University system and its constituents.
This position is responsible for collecting, analyzing, evaluating needs of the North Dakota University System and its institutions, and advanced solutions in a document imaging system or any other relevant application software that may best suit the specifications.
The Lead Application Systems Analyst provides system-level support of multi-user operating systems and software applications, including design, installation, configuration, maintenance, and integration of these systems.
Identify alternatives for optimizing computer resources.
In addition, the lead application systems analyst should continuously strive to improve the work of both themselves and the team in order to supply the highest quality work.
Responsibilities may require evening and weekend work in response to needs of the systems/applications being supported.
This position is required to share in the notification/beeper responsibilities for all Enterprise Services systems.
*MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS*
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Management System or related technical field; or equivalent education and experience totaling 8 years or more in a directly related field
* 5+ years' experience in application administration, relational databases (e.
g.
, MySQL, MSSQL).
* Demonstrated proficiency in troubleshooting skills covering Active Directory, storage, security, DNS/DHCP, DFS, etc.
* Proven expertise in software administration, support, and development.
* Proven leadership in technical projects, motivating both internal IT and business teams, as well as external consultants/vendors.
* Must be available for occasional after-hours response to systems/applications issues.
* Must be able to demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills for planning, implementing, testing, and troubleshooting system/application software.
* Experience with innovative solutions development for operational and business process problems.
* Previous experience in requirements gathering, documentation, functional design, and testing.
* Demonstrated effective communication, collaboration, and organizational skills with technical and non-technical users and vendors.
* Ability to work independently, demonstrating self-management with minimal supervision.
*PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS*
* Strong development skills in scripting languages including PowerShell, ColdFusion, Python, PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
* Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills in a professional setting.
* Familiarity with system architecture, encompassing three-tier development, web servers, application servers, and database servers, including server configuration and networking fundamentals.
* Previous experience in providing technical knowledge and support in document management and/or learning management systems.
* Experience in managing enterprise-level multi-tiered deployment environments, covering Development, Testing, Staging, and Production.
* Knowledge of computer security procedures and protocols.
* Proven track record of delivering technically effective and efficient solutions.
