Summary of Work
During this internship, you will be exposed to various aspects of engineering, including reading and comprehending NDDOT plans and specifications, allowing you to develop a comprehensive understanding of the intricacies involved in construction projects.
You will have the opportunity to actively participate in materials testing, construction surveying, and construction inspection, gaining practical skills that will prove invaluable in your future career endeavors.
Grand Forks summer projects include:
Mill and asphalt overlay on I-29 SB, ND 44, ND 59, and ND 65
Asphalt overlay and CPR on I-29 NB
CPR and chip seal on 32nd Ave.

Washington Street reconstruction
Box culvert installation and bridge rehab on multiple projects.
Various small projects throughout the District.

Minimum Qualifications
Must be enrolled in an engineering technology or civil/construction engineering undergraduate degree program.
Requires ability to lift and carry a total weight of up to 50 pounds.
Possession of a valid Class D drivers License for travel within the state of North Dakota.
Requires satisfactory completion of the interview process and a verifiable record of satisfactory performance in previous employment.
