Responsibilities:
- Assist experienced carpenters in various construction projects
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials
- Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, doors, cabinets, and flooring
- Follow blueprints and building plans to meet project specifications
- Use hand and power tools to complete tasks
- Perform carpentry tasks such as framing, trim work, and finishing
- Assist with concrete forming and pouring
- Help with water damage restoration projects
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications:
- Previous experience or training in carpentry/Handyman work is required
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- knowledge of carpentry techniques and tools
- Familiarity with power tools and their safe operation
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in measurements and cuts
- Ability to work well in a team environment and follow instructions from experienced carpenters
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials and equipment
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on challenging tasks
Skills:
The ideal candidate should have knowledge or experience in the following areas:
- Plumb (aligning structures vertically)
- Blueprint reading
- Caulking
- Concrete forming
- Flooring installation
- Cabinet installation
- Door hanging
- Power tools operation (saws, drills, etc.
)
- Trim carpentry techniques
- Water damage restoration
