Under general supervision, with instructions for routine work and detailed instruction for new activities or special assignments, this position is responsible for troubleshooting and performing maintenance and repairs of the office and building facilities, facility structure equipment, machines and grounds.
Performs work in one or more of the maintenance trades including HVAC, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair.
Conducts routine, periodic or special inspections of the premises to determine repair and maintenance work necessary to prevent breakdowns of facilities, machinery, and equipment.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Exercise skills and supervision of contractors in the following trades: HVAC, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, painting, machine and equipment repair.
Remove snow surrounding facilities to include operation of machinery.
Perform preventive maintenance on buildings and equipment according to established procedures.
Sets up and operates all tools and equipment necessary to perform assigned work.
Test, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair machinery and equipment.
Performs various routine facilities tasks as requested by managers and maintenance requests.
Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.

Job Qualifications:
Typically requires a high school diploma or equivalent and two or more years' experience in construction, facilities maintenance or a related field.
Must demonstrate considerable knowledge of construction or facilities maintenance principles and concepts.
Must possess:
A valid driver's license with a good driving record verified by the Department of Motor Vehicles.
The ability to read and understand blueprints, sketches, layouts, wiring diagrams, drawings and specifications.
Good organization skills and ability to establish priorities.
The ability to identify issues, solve and respond to routine problems.
Good analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills to accurately document, and report information as well as the ability to communicate and interface effectively with all levels of personnel, including management.
General knowledge of shop math.
Working knowledge and use of hand and power tools and measuring instruments.
Ability to climb ladders and lift at least 50 lbs.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment is essential.
