The Deepfreeze Ag Repairman has a main focus of proper piling and ventilation of beet piles and deepfreeze beets during campaign and harvest with a strong emphasis on ag related equipment repair.
Principle accountabilities include but are not limited to:
Responsible for safe and efficient operation of all related deep freeze equipment and for maintaining a clean work area.
Must work safely under all weather conditions, locations and at different elevations in the beet receiving yards, repair shop and on piles.
Must be physically capable of performing all maintenance tasks and using all required safety equipment to perform assigned tasks, including cutting and welding.
Assists in the areas of installation, modification, and maintenance of all beet receiving station assets.
Performs trouble shooting and uses problem solving techniques.
Writes work orders using the Company’s computerized maintenance management system including estimating time and material requirements.
Confirms stock status on parts required in maintenance activities.
Requires familiarity and ability to use the Company’s SAP system.
Uses understanding of different types of lubricants used on beet receiving and deep freeze equipment to ensure proper application, use and disposal.
Job Requirements:
High School diploma or a GED certificate is required.
Individuals are required to take a Welding test to verify basic skills and knowledge.
Able to read, write and communicate effectively.
A Class “A” or “B” driver’s license is required, this job may be awarded contingent upon the employee obtaining a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) permit within 15 days of the contingent job award and must receive the CDL within 45 days of the contingent job award.
