Forks Lath & Plaster (FLP) is currently *seeking a motivated and passionate individual to lead our employee orientation and training process.
* This position is full time and will be on-site, based in the Grand Forks, ND area.
The *Training and Development Specialist *is responsible for improving the productivity of the organization's employees, training in employees, and instructing our in-house Apprenticeship program.
This position will lead the organization's talent development strategy to onboard, educate, train, mentor, develop, and retain talent.
The *Training and Development Specialist* will actively search, design, and implement effective methods to educate, enhance performance, and recognize the performance of employees.
_*Ideal candidate has previous experience in the construction field.

* High school diploma or GED equivalent
* Driver’s license and reliable means of transportation
* Clear background screen
* Previous experience in Construction industry *(required)*
* Previous experience in Education industry *(preferred)*

* Develops training and development programs and objectives
* Trains and coaches managers, supervisors, and others involved in employee training and development efforts
* Modifies programs as needed
* Performs other duties as assigned
