*Job Title:* 2nd Shift – CNC Machine Operator
*Department: *CNC Machining (Mill / Lathe)
*Reports To:* CNC Supervisor
*Job Summary*:
This position is to produce conforming product using departmental equipment, making sure that the departmental area stays well organized, and waste and scrap material is handled appropriately is required and providing feedback to the department on the efficiency and effectiveness of the program.
This position has the potential to expand into programming of the departmental equipment, based on ability and desire.
During the production process, provide accurate and detailed information on runtime / material usage, etc.
to the ERP System.
*Core Roles:*
* Produce machined part to print following quality standards and procedures.
* Safely operate machines and maintain a safe working environment.
* Complete all necessary documentation correctly for orders produced.
*Duties and Responsibilities:*
* Production – Operate the equipment, make sure the correct program and material is being used.
Follow operating instructions given by supervisor.
* Quality - Perform quality inspections as specified for the production run.
Report results as required.
* Departmental Maintenance – Clean and maintain the space as directed.
Potential to learn maintenance on the departmental equipment.
Equipment – Maintain measuring equipment and ensure it is in good working order / calibration, etc.
* Scrap Handling – ensure proper sorting and handling of non-conforming parts and/or scrap material.
* Safety - Safely operate all department equipment per provided on floor training, and safety meeting topics.
*Required Skills:*
* High degree of personal accountability, computer skills, and ability to read fabrication and technical documents.
* Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position.
Lifting, twisting and bending.
*Preferred Skills:*
* Experience in ERP-centric Manufacturing | Material Issuing / WO Management
* Forklift Operation Experience
*Physical Requirements: (If appropriate to include)*
* Must be able to lift weights appropriate to assigned task (Mechanical lifts are available for heavier loads).
* Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods (Up to three (3) hours).
* Must be able to bend at waist and/or knees to properly lift pan of parts.
* Must be able to push loads on carts up to 500 lbs.
* Must be able to perform simple addition, copying figures, counting, and recording.
* Must be able to follow written, verbal, or diagrammatic instructions.
* Must be able to safely perform repetitive motions with fingers, wrists, hands, arms and Legs.
