_ *Position Overview:* _As our National Sales Director, you are responsible for achieving annual sales and profitability objectives by developing and implementing sales support plans to increase our market share and growth.
You will design plans to meet/exceed sales targets, develop and cultivate relationships with dealers/customers, and evaluate costs to determine our products’ pricing when selling to our dealers/customers.
You will develop, lead, and coach salaried and hourly team members to achieve high performance.
You will foster effective cross-functional working relationships with Marketing, Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Logistics, Finance, HR, and Quality.
You will have oversight for the following functions – National, Regional, and District Sales, Business Development, and Sales Coordination/Support.
You may have personal responsibility for some larger national customers as well as our government/municipality accounts.
_ *Responsibilities:* Must be able to… ● Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets.
● Create and communicate sales goals and ensure executives are informed on the progress of those goals.
● Build and maintain long-lasting, strong relationships with dealers/customers while partnering with them to better understand their business objectives and needs.
● Negotiate and close agreements with large customers.
● Liaise with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency.
● Coordinate resolution of field issues with the Service Support team.
Provide technical sales support for the development of the markets we play in.
Keep current on all relevant aspects of the turf industry, including competitive and allied trade activities.
● Stay up to date with new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board.
● Manage travel, tradeshow participation, sales trips, site visits, and other meeting planner outreach activities ensuring a strategic and robust set of sales initiatives and activities to accomplish lead/definite production.
● Understand industry-specific trends and landscapes.
● Effectively communicate value propositions through presentations and proposals.
● Assist with the marketing plan, annual budget, sales initiatives, and marketing messaging as asked by VP of Sales & Revenue - Altoz ● Report on forces that shift strategic directions of accounts and tactical budgets.
● Develop and improve on the area's key performance metrics.
● General Responsibilities o Provide direct supervision to your Sales & Revenue areas of responsibility including general work direction of both salaried and hourly employees.
o Develop objectives, measures, and complete performance appraisals for direct reports.
o Hands-on coaching and mentoring of direct reports to promote individual and team growth.
o Tactically and strategically plan, schedule, and support cross-training, coaching, and mentoring of staff for development and succession planning.
o Collaborate with HR and Marketing to ensure proper training is provided to sales staff, dealers, and customers on sales & support processes, procedures, tools, skills, and knowledge.
o Inform the VP, Sales & Revenue - Altoz of known actions written or verbal, which may affect the ability to successfully perform assignments or adversely affect the Company operations.

*Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience* Minimum/Essential Qualifications*:* ● Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business or equivalent, relevant work experience ● 8+ years of progressive leadership in sales and marketing in the outdoor power equipment industry ● 5+ years of related leadership experience managing teams of 20+ employees; spanning across multiple teams/departments such as Sales – Domestic, Marketing, Supply Chain, Service Support, and IT.
● Passionate about outdoor power products & motorsports.
● Understanding of and use of outdoor power equipment products.
● Strong mechanical aptitude.
● Demonstrated success operating in a down-to-earth, hands on, common-sense environment.
● Demonstrated ability to successfully work with a broad range of businesses, from large government and corporate accounts to small, independent organizations.
● Experience working with CRM systems.
● Strong understanding of retail and wholesale financing.
● Superior team leadership and interpersonal skills.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
● Proven ability to drive the sales process from start to finish.
● Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.
● Proven ability to develop a high level of subject matter expertise in product/features and dealer/customer benefits across product lines as well as competitive product categories.
● Knowledge of how to develop client-focused, differentiated, and achievable solutions.
● Understanding of how to position products against competitors.
● Strong data-based analytical skills with the ability to leverage that knowledge into programs and promotions that drive the achievement of annual objectives.
● Ability to work in a fast-paced JIT (just-in-time) environment; work well under pressure, manage competing demands, and meet tight deadlines (on short notice at times); strong project management skills.
● Ability to coach and motivate employees; creating an environment that fosters continuous improvement and teamwork.
● Persistence, determination, and courage to make things happen; strong execution skills; results-oriented.
● Ability to respond quickly to changing demands, processes, and updated information.
● Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
● Ability to travel to multiple locations domestically.
