Education: High School Diploma or High School Equivalency Qualifications: Minimum of one year experience in computer technician services or post secondary coursework in computer technician services.
Experience of demonstrable skill in maintaining, servicing and troubleshooting Macintosh and iPad devices, Mac OS and iOS, Chromebooks, Chrome OS, Windows machines and Office 365.
Experience or demonstrable skills communicating and working in a professional environment.
Relevant industry certifications within Information Technology preferred.
Job Goal: General maintenance and support of school district computer systems and associated technology.
The main focus is Macintosh/Chromebook/Windows devices and related operating systems.
Work with end users and technology staff to identify issues, find and implement solutions.
Work with a variety of vendors, support companies and state entities to insure minimum down time for all equipment and programs.
Learn new operating systems and applications as they become available.
Document solutions.
Essential duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following: General maintenance and support of district technology systems.
Build Windows and/or Macintosh systems Install and configure system software on Windows and/or Macintosh computers Learn and adapt new computer systems and software as they are introduced into the district Setup, configure and maintain new technology devices as they are introduced into the district.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with district technology systems.
Trains with other staff members in learning the proper steps in how to maintain and manage all PC, Mac, IPads and Chromebooks inventory at designated schools, including providing support for off-site locations, students, and staff.
Trains with other staff members in learning the proper steps in how to maintain and manage all additional peripheral technology (ex.
Printers, ActivPanels, projectors, etc.
) at designated schools.
Communicate effectively with end users to gather information about reported problems, discuss potential solutions, and communicate potential timelines for resolution of problem.
Resolve and/or escalate technical issues in a timely manner.
Use available software and hardware tools to effectively resolve technical issues.
Document work performed using work order management system.
Work with district technology staff cooperatively: Coordinate installation of new hardware and software with Director, Network Services Coordinator, IT Systems Specialists, and Computer Technicians.
Work cooperatively with district and building level technology staff to maintain and troubleshoot technology devices.
Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director of CTE & Technology Work Environment and Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; occasionally walk and stand.
The ability to hear and see in order to communicate effectively as well as communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; Maintain effective audio/visual discrimination and perception to the degree necessary for the successful performance of assigned duties; Maintain mental capacity, allowing for effective interaction and communication with others.
Terms of Employment: Twelve (12) months Evaluation: Annual written evaluation by the Executive Director of Career & Technical Education and Technology Posted until filled.
