Job Title: Assistant/Associate Professor of Education (Special Education)
Location: Mayville State University, Mayville, ND
Compensation: $48,500 - $60,000 annually, 9-month contract - rank to commensurate with level of experience
Benefits: Includes single or family health care coverage (health insurance premiums paid 100% by the university), basic life insurance, EAP, retirement plan, and tuition waiver.

FLSA: Exempt

Job Description: The Division of Education at Mayville State University is seeking applicants for a full-time Assistant/Associate Professor of Education position.
The position will include program planning, instruction, and reporting, undergraduate course instruction that may include special education methods, and core professional education courses.
This position will include supervision of students in clinical field experiences, collaborative work within the Division of Education focused on assessment and accreditation, advising of graduate and undergraduate students, service to the community and university, and other university and divisional duties as assigned.
The position requires teaching day and evening on-campus and online classes.
Minimum Qualifications:
• An earned Master’s degree in Education and willingness to pursue doctorate degree
• BSED in Education
• Excellent working knowledge and skills in the use of research-based instructional strategies
• Three years of successful K-12 teaching in Special Education
• Background/experience in applying instructional technologies in the classroom
Preferred Qualifications:
• An earned doctorate degree in education, with an undergraduate degree in special education
• Special education experience
• Background in educational leadership
• Experience teaching in higher education face-to-face and online
• Experience with student placement supervision
• Experience with reading instruction in an English Learner classroom
• Experience with multi-tiered systems of support
• Experience with educational assessment
• Commitment to working with culturally, linguistically, and socio-economically diverse students
• Effective communication and collaboration skills
• Evidence of being a strong leader
