Job Title: Assistant Volleyball Coach/HPER Instructor
Location: Mayville State University, Mayville, ND
Compensation: $33,500 - $43,500 - based on experience

Position Information:
Mayville State University, an NAIA institution and member of the North Star Athletic Association, invites applications for the current position of Assistant Volleyball Coach/HPER Instructor.
The assistant volleyball coaching position supports and complies with the mission of the Athletics Department in the development and successful administration of a competitive intercollegiate volleyball program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Coaching:
Assist in developing a program that is competitive at the regional and national level.
Manage and execute short and long-term recruiting strategies.
Assist in developing team and individual goals.
Promote academic progress of student athletes by working closely with the office of Academic Services.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Teaching:
Work within the Health, Physical Education and Recreation Division (HPER) and support the University, as a team member by collaborating with faculty, staff and students on committees, program planning, assessment, academic advising, and other needs as they become known.
Key Competencies:
Excellent communication skills.
Effective interpersonal skills, including the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and with students, faculty, staff, and community members with diverse backgrounds.
Efficient use of Microsoft Office software.
Detail and customer service oriented.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in HPER or related field.
Relevant experience in teaching.
Two years of coaching experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
Two or more years coaching collegiately.
Three years teaching experience at a postsecondary institution.
