Classroom Aide
Location: Hillsboro, ND

The Mayville State University Child Development Programs (MSU CDP) has been providing full-service programming to Head Start and Child Care families since 1991, and to Early Head Start families since 2002.
The MSU CDP provides interactive programming designed to meet the changing needs of families across the rural service area of eastern North Dakota.
MSU CDP works with school districts, provides childcare for children ages birth to 12, and is Mayville State University’s hands-on lab site used for developing future early childhood educators and teachers.
We are currently hiring a Classroom Aide for our Hillsboro location.

The ideal candidate will have:
Experience working with children birth to age 5 and their families
Ability to use mature judgment when making decisions impacting the quality of childcare
A valid driver’s license
Education (or be willing to obtain)
CDA Credential
Early Childhood Education Degree (AA, BA, BSED)
BSED in Elementary Education with an Early Childhood Education Minor
Degrees in Child Development and Family Sciences may be acceptable (transcripts will be checked after submission of required application materials)
Experience working with diverse populations
Strong communication skills (interpersonal, written, and oral)
Great organizational skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Experience with Head Start/Early Head Start regulations or a willingness to learn
Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing classroom educational services to children birth to age 5
Responsible for implementing curriculum, monitoring, and reporting on educational progress, and providing a safe, educational environment for the children
Responsible for helping children develop positive self-images and experience success
Responsible for encouraging the exploration of interest and development social skills

CDA Credential or High School Diploma: $26,745.
