Summary of Work
The main responsibility is to devote attention and appropriate supervision to the student/client during non-instructional hours.
Hours may vary.
This position is temporary and available during center-based programming weeks.
CPR and First Aid Certification (training provided) are required with the first three months of hire.
Duties:
Help maintain a safe, stimulating and comfortable homelike environment.
Carry out evening or overnight activities as scheduled.
Support and instruct students according to rules in the NDVS/SB handbook.
Help with evening meal as needed.
Provide homework support as directed by staff.
Supervise bedtime routines.
Monitor NDVS/SB facility for security purposes, call maintenance when needed.
Provide human guide assistance.
Communicate information to supervisor and fellow Houseparent Staff
Attend In-service Meetings as requested.
Work a minimum of one shift per Short Term Program week.
Minimum Qualifications
High School Graduate or GED
Must be at least 18 years old.
CPR Certification must be obtained within 90 days.
The successful applicant must pass criminal background check.
