Job Overview:
Sacred Heart Catholic School in East Grand Forks, MN is seeking a dynamic leader to be our Head Girls Basketball Coach.
Duties:
- Develop and implement practice plans that focus on skill development, strategy, and teamwork
- Teach fundamental basketball skills such as shooting, dribbling, passing, and defense
- Provide individualized coaching and feedback to players to help them improve their skills
- Coordinate and lead team practices, ensuring that all players are engaged and actively participating
- Plan and strategize for games, including creating game plans and making in-game adjustments
- Foster a positive and supportive team environment that promotes sportsmanship and teamwork
- Monitor player progress and provide regular updates to parents or guardians
- Ensure the safety of all players during practices and games
Qualifications:
- Previous experience coaching basketball
- Knowledge of basketball rules, strategies, and techniques
- Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with players, parents, and other coaches
- Ability to motivate and inspire players to reach their full potential
- Patience and the ability to work with players of different skill levels
- Strong organizational skills to plan practices, games, and team events
