POSITION: PT Agriculture Instructor

TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: This is a part-time, non-benefitted 9-month contract.
BACKGROUND CHECK: LRSC does require a successful background check for the selected candidate prior to beginning employment.
JOB SUMMARY: Lake Region State College (LRSC) is seeking a part time instructor within the LRSC Hofstad Ag Center.
The successful candidate will be able to provide instruction and curriculum development in the following two areas: Animal Science and Ag Economics.
This candidate will be responsible for their area of expertise as well as assisting in other agriculture initiatives ongoing in this program including UAV training and research, producer outreach, in-field testing and demonstrations, and industry collaboration.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree in an agricultural related discipline and; related work experience.
The ability to navigate agricultural and other outdoor terrain and lift/carry 50 pounds as part of normal duties is required.
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS: Preference given to Master’s degree in agricultural education with teaching or other instructional experience as well as a livestock/animal background.
SALARY: Competitive salary based on experience
