POSITION: Head Coach - Women’s Hockey
LOCATION: Devils Lake, ND

TYPE OF APPOINTMENT: Part-time, non-benefitted.
BACKGROUND CHECK: LRSC does require a successful background check for the selected candidate prior to beginning employment.
JOB SUMMARY: Plan and direct a successful Women’s Ice Hockey program through effective recruitment, a commitment to training and conditioning, and planning for a high level of performance by student athletes; abide by the rules and regulations established by Lake Region State College, the state of North Dakota, and the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA); direct and supervise assistant coaches; work collegially with faculty, staff, and administration to ensure student athletes maintain high levels of academic performance and degree completion; monitor academic progress and status of team members, implementing action plans when needed; promote the athletic program through community events, public service, fundraising and marketing; willingness and commitment to fundraise to help not only the hockey program, but the athletic department as a whole; manage a fiscally sound budget based on fundraising and careful oversight of institutional resources.
Minimum requirements: Any combination of education and coaching experience will be considered.
Successful candidate must have strong leadership, proven interpersonal and communication skills, and solid planning and organizational abilities.
Preference will be given to applicants with teaching/coaching experience in a community college or experience coaching hockey.
SALARY: $12,000 per season.
