Responsibilities:
- Assist in the continuity of care and transition physical therapy patients to independence.
- Meet and communicate with physical therapy staff at clinics and provide regular updates with therapists to bridge PT to personal training and to independent activity levels
-Plan and execute exercise progressions, screen and identify at risk individuals of injury and provide feedback to clients/other therapists.
-Manage schedule of clients and assist in insurance requirements for reimbursements.
-Instruct group exercise classes and grow and develop existing and new classes/
-Assist in the deliver of smaller group exercise routines for athletes.
Requirements:
- Certification in personal training or a related field (e.
g.
, ACE, NASM, ACSM).
- Strong knowledge of physical education, program design, body mechanics, physiology, anatomy, and nutrition.
- Experience in group fitness instruction or sports coaching is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients.
- Ability to motivate and inspire clients to achieve their fitness goals.
- Sales skills to promote personal training services and acquire new clients.
- CPR/AED certification is required.
- Must be physically fit and able to demonstrate exercises with proper form.
