We are looking for a qualified Toddler Teacher to lead one of our our classrooms, caring for children ages 18-36 months.
*Minimum Qualifications:*
* Must have one of the following:
* --Child Development Associate (CDA) certificate
* --Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education
* --Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education
* Prefer at least one year of experience in a child care setting
* Must be eighteen years of age or older
* Must be mentally, physically, and emotionally able to provide adequate care and education for young children
* Must have a warm and friendly personality
* Must be able to relate well to children
* Must be willing to fulfill the responsibilities of the job in accordance with the program philosophy of Immanuel Christian Children’s Center
* Must pass Child Abuse & Neglect and Criminal History Background Checks
* Must be First Aid and CPR trained (ICCC will provide in-house training opportunities to meet this requirement)
*Job Duties*
A Lead Teacher's responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Be knowledgeable about the Creative Curriculum and use it to plan and implement lessons and activities that are developmentally appropriate
* Accommodate for children of varying ages and developmental levels, including those with special needs or limited use of English
* Design and maintain a classroom environment that is engaging and appropriate for the children, rotating materials as needed to maintain interest
* Implement a Christian education program, including daily devotion and prayers
* Observe and document each child’s development and progress in the Teaching Strategies GOLD online program
* Build and maintain a positive relationship with parents and families, ensuring open communication at all times
* Lead parent/teacher conferences twice per year
* Address behavioral concerns promptly and work cooperatively with parents and other teachers to find solutions
* Provide direction and support to caregivers in the classroom
* Be a positive role model for caregivers, maintaining a positive and professional attitude at all times
* Ensure that all licensing regulations are met at all times
