Job Title: Accountant- Budgeting and Payroll Specialist
Location: Mayville State University, Mayville, ND
Compensation: $50,000 - $65,000 - Salary to commensurate with level of training and experience.

Position Information: Provides accounting, financial reporting, technical support for payroll, while collaborating with team members to assist in the processes involved of developing, producing and communicating annual and biennial budgets.
This includes managing grant positions, general ledger maintenance and entry, reconciling funds, invoicing, and interaction with internal customers.
The accountant provides oversight and assistance for the compliance and administration of pre/post award grant activity of private, state and federal grants, including subcontracts.
They ensure that the implementation of grant projects conforms to federal compliance regulations.
This position supports the completion of annual reports, budget modifications, subcontracts, forms and correspondence to ensure accuracy and compliance with the Federal, State, and Private grants and contracts.

Minimum qualifications:
Associate degree in Accounting, or closely related field or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Five years experience in fiscal management and payroll processes.
Five years or more experience working in a collaborative office setting.
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or closely related field or equivalent combination of experience and education.
Demonstrated professional writing and organizational skills
Knowledge of Federal Grant Regulations
