As the Accounting Specialist, this person performs various accounting duties according to Dealership policy and accounting theory.
Process accounts payable and receivable activities which include processing invoices and maintaining vendor and customer records.
Perform basic account and bank reconciliations.

You’ll focus on:
Communicate professionally with others in the organization to answer accounting questions and give guidance on standard procedures and best practices
Processes data into various accounting systems including transactions affecting general ledger accounts, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory
Reviews sales information to ensure the completeness and accuracy of customer and equipment information, sale and trade amounts, and sales tax rates
Processes monthly state sales tax returns and payments online
Reconciles various accounts which includes identifying discrepancies and determining corrective action
Monitors aged accounts and support with collection processes
Performs basic account and bank reconciliations
Verifies invoices for accuracy, resolves discrepancies, ensures payment terms are followed, and calculates discounts as appropriate
Distributes invoices and obtains approval as needed before payment processing
Processes payments, both manually and electronically using integrated online platforms
Reconciles vendor statements and resolves discrepancies
Accurately creates and maintains vendor records and related documents, such as 1099’s and tax-exempt forms
Assists co-workers with related tasks as necessary
What We are looking for:
1+ years in an accounting position
Knowledge of accounting systems
High level of attention to detail and accuracy
Understands accounting fundamentals such as debits, credits, accounts receivable, and accounts payable
Ability to use standard desktop applications such as Microsoft Excel, as well as internet systems and functions
Ability to use the dealer’s business system and other programs specific to the position
High School Diploma or GED required
Associate degree in an Accounting/Finance discipline preferred, or equivalent experience

Hourly: $20-26+ dependent on experience and education
