Accounting Manager serves as an outsourced accountant for clients and works as part of a team to provide a valuable client experience.
This person will also manage, mentor and train employees in the SBS area.
Manages client relationships by monitoring client needs and building value into professional service
Works closely with clients to assess general accounting needs
Review complex reports, returns, and other documents as required, including sales tax reports, gaming tax returns, forms 1099 and 1098, monthly/quarterly/annual financial statements, and other reports required by clients
Completing month-end processes for clients with complex accounting needs, including journal entries and reconciliation of trial balances
Provides mentoring and technical training for employees in the Outsourced Accounting department
Monitor project deadlines and ensure timely completion for projects assigned to Outsourced Accounting department
Performs client billings for accounting services provided
Serve as Outsourced Accounting leader in the local office and participate in local leadership functions
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and/or equivalent work experience; required
7+ years of accounting experience required including experience managing staff
Valid CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license preferred
Advanced knowledge of general ledger accounting and principles
Basic understanding of incomes tax laws as they apply to small businesses
