HR Associate / Payroll Assistant

Duties & Responsibilities
Assist with recruiting including posting open positions and communicating with potential candidates.
Assist with new employee onboarding.
Issue new employee paperwork and enrollment documents.
Capture employee data, work records & payroll information.
Manage HR records including resumes, applicant logs, and employee forms.
Assist with terminations, including exit interviews and exit paperwork.
Answer general HR inquiries.
Maintain accurate employee records, including changes in salary, benefits, tax withholding, personal information, and discipline tracking.
Assist with the administration of employee benefits including health insurance, retirement plans and other deductions.
Verify timekeeping records and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to hours worked.
Coordinate with Payroll Accountant in prepping all documents and calculations in time.
Generate payroll reports as needed, including year-end reports such as W-2’s.
Required Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or Business.
Minimum of 2 years Human Resources or Accounting experience.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Attention to detail and excellent judgement.
Excellent time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as a team member.
