*Summary:*
ThePayroll Coordinator handles the payroll functions of the organization, ensuring pay is processed on time, accurately, and in compliance with government regulations.
Performs all activities necessary to process 1 or more payrolls, including maintaining related records, filing tax reports and voluntary deduction reports, processing involuntary deductions such as garnishments, preparing accounting transactions/documents, updatingand creating procedures, and preparing reports for management.
*Essential Duties and Responsibilities but are not limited to:*
* Implements, maintains, and reviews payroll processing and accounting systems to ensure timely and accurate processing of payroll transactions including salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes, and other deductions.
* Processing certified payrolls when applicable.
* Ensures accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.
* Prepares and maintainsaccurate records and reports of payroll transactions.
* Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.
* Facilitates audits by providing records and documentation to auditors.
* Identifies and recommends updates to payroll accounting software, systems, and procedures.
* 401K Census/Audit
* EBC Annual Non-Discrimination Report
* Responsible for all New Hire Data Entry, Terminations, Change Forms and Transferswithin HRMS/Payroll Systems.
* RRB service month tracking
* Benefit reconciliation
* Performs other duties as assigned.

* Proficient in Microsoft Excel for weekly payroll reporting and data analysis.
