Position Overview:
The Senior Financial Analyst will help shape the corporate financial strategy at DigiKey.
This individual will be active in working with senior leadership and supporting critical business decisions.
This role will report directly to the Manager, Finance and work closely with the Director, Finance.
Additionally, the Senior Financial Analyst will work with senior leadership throughout the organization and support assigned areas of the organization with their finance needs.
The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, have extensive finance experience, a data-driven mindset, and the ability to influence.
This role is based in Thief River Falls or Bloomington, Minnesota, and will require a minimum of two days per week in the office and be available for projects in the office as needed.
Travel required, at times, domestically and internationally.
Responsibilities:
Acts as the financial liaison throughout the business and able to connect needed teams to create action on supporting financial health of the business.
Support assigned area Vice President in budgeting and expenses analysis needs.
Provide financial modeling to measure and forecast financial health of key organizations in the business.
Conducts thorough financial analysis to support decision-making processes, including evaluating financial performance, identifying trends, and assessing opportunities and risks.
Lead on cost optimization opportunities and partner with senior leadership to address.
Effectively communicate the financial needs of the business.
Collaboration with multiple departments to help create KPIs, provide supporting data, and analysis for projects, creation of organization goals.
Drives development of cost controls, procedures, systems, and forecasting techniques to evaluate financial health of the company.
Analyze external economic conditions and the impact on business.
Responsible for ad hoc projects to support improvement of department processes.
Partner with accounting to ensure reporting accuracy.
Involvement in ongoing corporate project support to provide representation from finance team.
Preparation of presentations for business owners, Director, Finance, and other senior leadership.
Continuous review for improvement in financial processes and tools.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field of study
6-9 years of experience in financial or related field
Experience in presenting financial reporting to executive leadership
Strong financial background, modeling, and budgeting
Proficiency in Excel and experience with financial software
Ability to work under pressure with (sometimes) limited supervision to meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or graduate degree, or equivalent
CPA
Data visualization knowledge of tools like Tableau, Sigma, PowerBI
Experience owning financial reporting and budget creation
Experience with the electronic component distribution industry
Strong knowledge of DigiKey brand and its principles
Physical Requirements:
Work is primarily performed at a desk and/or in an office environment for 3/4 of the day and up
The office noise level in the work environment is typically moderate
Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse, and screen
Generally, spend the workday performing repetitive motions that involve or affect the hands, head, and other parts of your body
