Hoffman, Philipp, & Martell, PLLC specializes in Local Government Audits which include mainly City and County clients.
Auditors work on client engagements, assist on larger client engagements, and perform most work assigned with a minimum level of assistance.
They train and lead staff, instruct them in work to be performed, review the work completed, provide feedback, and direct necessary revisions.
Auditors must have excellent organizational skills as they coordinate several engagements simultaneously while meeting set deadlines.
Essential Position Responsibilities:
* Works as part of a team to provide audit engagement services for clients
* Uses excellent judgment and analysis to prepare and review workpapers and supporting documentation in conformity with applicable professional standards
* Draft and review reports and financial statements
* Exercise discretion and judgement when working with client matters
* Perform research utilizing various research platforms
* Reviews work of staff including training and mentoring
* Utilizes technology and firm audit software
* Displays professionalism both in the office and onsite with clients

Qualifications and Skills
* Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
* Understanding of GAAP and GAAS
* Strong technology skills
* Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines
* Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally
