This very rare Monarch 614 lathe was built for NASA in 1992 for $154,342.
It is in very good condition.
Has 2000 rpm spindle, rapid traverse, leadscrew reverse, Acu-rite DRO, Dorian DA toolpost with 2 holders, Cushman 12” 4 jaw chuck, inch metric gearbox, heavy duty 2 speed tailstock and built in coolant pump.
Machine is 460 volt 3 phase with a 20hp main motor.
Weighs 12,000 lbs.
20” swing, 13” over cross slide, 78” between centers.
The ways are in great shape and the headstock shifts smoothly through all the gears.
Minimal backlash in the controls.
The machine runs like a top.
I’m only selling because the power requirements are too great for my shop.
I’ve gone over the whole machine and everything works as it should.
All the oils have been changed.
Serious buyers are welcome to inspect the lathe under power.
I can run it with a generator.
Loading on your truck is included.
I can help setting up freight if needed.
It does have a few flaws here and there that I will point out to the buyer, but nothing that would prevent it from going to work.
