The certified nursing assistant provides nursing and nursing-related services to residents consistent with each resident’s comprehensive assessment and plan of care.
All resident care is provided in a manner that meets the resident’s physical, mental, and psychosocial needs and enables the individual to attain or maintain the highest practicable level of functioning.
The certified nursing assistant supports a “homelike” environment for the resident, protects and promotes resident rights, and assists the resident in maintaining independence and control to the greatest extent possible.

Job Details: Location: Shift: Job Schedule: Hours: FTE: Weekends: Holidays: Pay: What you’ll get to do in this role: Maintaining a “home” in the physical environment, maintaining a sense of welcome, enhancing relationships in the household through shared activities of living, promoting compassionate services among the team by offering emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to all residents, including evaluating and addressing the successes and need of the household.
Promoting the residents’ well-being and satisfaction by supporting resident-centered care and participating in the interdisciplinary team as it establishes and implements the residents’ plan of care with the resident/resident representative.
Participates in a quality work team by promoting teamwork to provide resident-centered care, participating in team problem-solving methods, and team/individual successes, including participating in supportive orientation and training of new staff.
Maintaining a safe, comfortable, and functional environment by assessing the household for potential hazards and utilizing appropriate techniques regarding sanitation, infection control, hazardous waste management, fire safety, disaster preparedness, and emergency care.
Demonstrates support for organizational fiscal viability through efficient and effective use of all household resources, including supplies and availability of resources.
Dementia Sensitivity: able to demonstrate and nurture care practices for persons with dementia that meet needs while promoting individualized person-center care and sense of well-being.
You’re an excellent fit, if you have: successful completion of nurse aide training and competency evaluation program approved by the State of Minnesota within 4 months of the hire date met regulatory requirements for certified nursing assistant in the State of MN 2 or more years on the job experience as a certified nursing assistant in a skilled nursing facility preferred training and experience in geriatric nursing preferred active on the MN State Nurse Aide registry excellent interpersonal relationship skills and commitment to providing person-centered care good communication skills good infection control practices Benefits statement: LifeCare Medical Center offers an attractive benefits package for qualifying employees.
