Summary of Work
As a Temporary Maintenance Technician, you will perform highway, roadway, and structure maintenance.
You will complete highway maintenance duties, which include roadway repairs, assisting in installing, repairing, and maintaining highway signs and guardrails.
To complete these tasks and others assigned, you will operate power tools and other equipment to perform maintenance duties.
Part of this job is to keep the roadways clear of any hazards, this includes litter, waste, debris, garbage.
Assisting with traffic control setup and flagging will also be required.
You will also be required to complete building and ground maintenance duties, such as tree trimming, mowing, painting, fence repair, gutter/downspout cleaning.
As well as assisting with inventory tracking/storage.
You will also perform minor preventive and repair maintenance on vehicles and equipment, parts runs, and assisting in the shop.
An important part of this position and the culture at the NDDOT is to maintain a safe working environment for yourself, your coworkers, and others.
Minimum Qualifications
Valid North Dakota Class D drivers license.
Employment of the selected candidate will be contingent on satisfactorily completing the interview process and the required medical screening and reference check.
