_ * _Position will be credentialed through Altru Health System’s credentialing process_ *Job Description:* * Assesses, intervenes, and reassesses the patient's self-report/symptoms of pain promptly and takes appropriate action according to standard operating procedure.
* Assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care of patients in the perioperative setting in collaboration with other health care providers.
Communicates plan of care with surgical team.
Provides pre-op and post-op care.
* Demonstrates a knowledge base of various procedures and surgical first assist techniques.
Follows principles of sterile technique.
* Demonstrates suturing skills including tying techniques, ligaturing vessels, wound closure and hemostasis.
* Works collaboratively with other health care providers to provide postoperative patient management which may include participating in postoperative rounds and assisting with patient discharge planning and identifying appropriate community resources as needed.
* Identifies and communicates unusual techniques/instruments with the operative team.
* Participates in measuring and monitoring Quality Indicator, outcomes.
* Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
Job Type: Contract Pay: $80.
00 - $90.
