* Performs general or vascular ultrasound exams.
* Assures that a written physician order is received prior to an exam procedure and collects pertinent information prior to the ultrasound procedure.
* Reviews exams on Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS), checking for quality and completeness.
Completes proper paperwork and distributes exams for interpretation.
* Efficiently performs all tasks within their designated room, including cleaning and stocking their room, cleaning the machine and filter, and deleting exams off the machine daily.
* Demonstrates regard for patients’ safety and comfort during transportation, immobilization and positioning of patient.
* Performs other duties as assigned or needed to meet the needs of the department/organization.
* Sonographer | North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Board of Examiners | Prior to Start Date
* Sonographer | American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) | Prior to Start Date
* Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) | American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) | Prior to Start Date
* Basic Life Support (BLS) | American Heart Association (AHA) | Prior to Start Date
* Must be a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer or a Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
* Demonstrates understanding and follows infection control policies and procedures according to standard operating procedure.
* Maintains requirements for age specific competencies for the position and demonstrates the knowledge or principles of growth and developments and the skills necessary to provide patient/customer care/services.
* Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of and compliance with:
* All pertinent safety, health and environmental policies, procedures and guidelines.
* Working safely, without causing harm or risk to self, others or property.
* The work environment safety procedures and prompt reporting of unsafe practices, procedures, accidents, injuries or other safety violations to the Leader.
* The use of all safety equipment and personal protective equipment.
