Dialysis Nurse

Responsibilities: - Provide direct patient care in a dialysis setting, ensuring the highest quality of care and patient safety.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and assess their response to treatments.
- Perform dialysis procedures, including hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis.
- Educate patients and their families on dialysis treatment, self-care techniques, and medication management.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment.
Skills: - Proficient in pediatric nursing practices, including assessment and care of pediatric patients.
- Experienced in triaging patients based on acuity levels and providing appropriate interventions.
- Knowledgeable in tube feeding techniques and able to administer enteral nutrition as needed.
- Skilled in laboratory procedures, including specimen collection and processing.
- Familiar with electronic health record systems such as Athenahealth for documentation purposes.
- Competent in medication administration, including IV medications and titration of dosages.
- Able to phlebotomize patients for laboratory tests as required.
- Proficient in acute care settings, managing critically ill patients with complex medical conditions.
- Knowledgeable in infection control practices to prevent the spread of infections.
