*_ _Job description:_ _This position oversees all aspects of patient care for Nursing and Patient Care Services at the Griggs County Care Center as well as nursing professional practice oversight and leaders throughout the community in which the assigned hospital is located.
Director of Nursing works directly with the Care Center administrative leader and associated facility leadership.
Director of Nursing will guide nursing's growth, clinical practice, staffing effectiveness, and patient satisfaction.
Coordinates activities between defined areas and provides clinical and administrative leadership and expertise.
Facilitates an atmosphere of interactive management and the development of collegial relationships among nursing personnel and others.
Has major responsibility for the implementation of the vision, mission, plans, and standards of the organization and nursing services within defined areas of responsibility.
_ Key Responsibilities: · _Manages the fiscal and clinical operations of assigned hospital_ · _Develops department budgets and financial analysis and planning of nursing resource in collaboration with NH administrative leadership, regional administrative and nursing leadership and the CNO_ · _Integrates department services with the Nursing Homes primary function maintaining communication with medical and nursing staffs, Administration, residents and their families/significant other.
Coordinates and integrates services within departments_ · _Develops and implements policies and procedures that guide and support provision of medical surgical services.
Supervises nursing staff and assures staff competency_ · _Conducts ongoing assessment and improvement of the department's performance_ · _Promotes the Quality Management program of the facility maintaining appropriate quality control programs (where applicable).
Oversees and drives performance in quality metrics, patient safety and clinical excellence initiatives_ · _Participates in strategic planning: Develops, markets, implements, and evaluates new services and programs recommending space and resources needed_ · _Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies_ · _Establishes and promotes collaborative relationships with physicians and other health providers and participates in planning, implementing, and evaluating programs of resident care_ · _Promotes and facilitates intradepartmental, interdepartmental and regional communications and relationships among clinicians and staff_ · _Develops goals and objectives for nursing within areas of responsibility and in partnership with the regional and market nursing leaders, and participates in development of goals and objectives for Nursing Services and Nursing Professional Practice at the system level_ · _Supports and enables orientation, in-service training, and continuing education for all staff within the department_ · _Engages staff in active participation nursing, NH and regional committees, unit, facility and system professional governance initiatives, etc.
_ · _Assesses and evaluates staff, creates coaching and development plans to achieve and sustain high performers_ · _Collaborates with all relevant leadership, and the CEO, CFO, CNO, Human Resources and Talent Acquisition re workforce planning and hiring needs and disciplinary action_ · _Develops and sustains strategies to ensures patient and family satisfaction_ _Educational Requirements:_ · _Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) is preferred.
_ _Preferred Qualifications:_ · _Five or more years of demonstrated clinical nursing leadership and management experience_ · _A minimum of 3 years in Progressive Nursing Leadership roles_ · _Results oriented and engaged in collaborative goal setting_ · _Displays sound judgment and critical thinking_ · _Demonstrates time management skills, including prioritization, timely follow up and deadlines_ · _Quality performance monitoring, labor management, scheduling, clinical / contract and new hire processes_ · _Evidence of preparing and monitoring annual Nursing unit budgets_ · _Sound Fiscal Management skills_ · _Excellent inter-personal and inter-professional communications skills; in writing and verbally_ · _Ability to build effective working relationships and connections locally and across a system of care_ · _Previous experience in a EPIC organization_ _*Licensure/Certification Qualifications:*_ Required Certification/Licensure: · _Active RN license in ND, required _ Job Type: Full-time Pay: $75,000.
00 - $90,000.
