Position Overview:
A Legal Operations Intern learns and grows within our Corporate Legal environment.
At the direction and control of supervising counsel (mentor), the intern works on several different legal matters in wide variety of practice areas including corporate governance, compliance, and commercial matters.
This is not exclusively an essential onsite role, though may require some onsite attendance.
Responsibilities:
Work with teammates to learn processes and work methods for greater efficiency; able to articulate your ideas to the team and collaborate with multiple stakeholders in the business.
Conducting research and/or other work for projects assigned.
Organizing and updating the corporate record retention programs and files.
Assisting the legal team with maintaining and building a central database.
Assist with drafting appropriate policies and practices to ensure compliance with applicable laws & regulations.
Learn to conduct legal research on a wide range of topics, including corporate, regulatory compliance, contract law, and healthcare regulations.
Summarize findings and provide recommendations to the Legal team.
Mentored to assist in reviewing and drafting of contracts, including vendor agreements, nondisclosure agreements, and licensing agreements.
Learn to ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws.
Help to organize and maintain legal documents and records, including contracts, non-disclosure agreement, addendums and other records.
Learn to help develop efficient document management processes.
Other duties as assigned including but not limited to possible reallocation of efforts to other organizations per business need and management request.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:

Ability to collaborate and work with a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficient in Microsoft Office suit, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Ability to take initiative and multi-task with strong follow-up.
Ability to learn quickly, and work with mentor and team.
Familiarity with legal research tools and databases.
DocuSign experience.
Physical Requirements:
Generally, spend the workday sitting at a workstation and operating computer devices, such as, but not limited to keyboard, mouse and screen
