S&S Transport is growing and we are looking to add a Driver Liaison to our headquarters in Grand Forks, North Dakota.
The Driver Liaison works within our Safety Department to ensure human resource requirements are implemented and followed, ensure compliance with safety, training procedures and to assist in the achievement of profitability/productivity requirements with all assigned drivers.
The Driver Liaison reports to the Safety Director.
About us: We are a family owned and operated trucking company based out of Grand Forks, North Dakota.
In the last few years, we have grown to 160 trucks/drivers, plus we’ve added terminals in Janesville, Wisconsin and Anniston, Alabama.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Other duties may be assigned:
Assists, planning, and implementation of driver human resources activities, training, safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT)
Advises safety director on safety compliance concerns and preventative actions
Plans and implements training for employees in work site safety practices
Maintains safety files and records
Maintains human resources files and records
Assists with safety surveys and inspections, prepares written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective or preventive measures indicated and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented
Aids or conducts post-accident investigation and prepares report identifying possible accident causes and hazards for use by company personnel and senior management
Assists in the development, evaluation and upgrading of safety programs
Prefer experience in DOT, and OSHA regulatory requirements
Excellent computer, communication, and training skills
QUALIFICATIONS
Great communication skills are essential.
Three to five years related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and assist developing procedure manuals.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public
Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined by management
Must be available and willing to work occasional weekends as the employer determines are necessary or desirable to meet its business needs
Must be able to work independently, with the ability to have difficult conversation and always remain professional
