Assist the Service Manager in maintaining accurate and on-time reports and records, relative to the service department’s operation within the dealership.
Serves as the Turf customer solutions provider for the Grand Forks location.
Supports a safe working environment at the dealership working closely with the True North Equipment Safety Manager.

You’ll focus on: Provide frontline Turf Customer Support by utilizing the dealer systems such a as Service Advisor and Dealer Path to provide direction or plan of action to customers before fielding those calls/interactions to a technician Provide scheduling support for technicians to insure minimal gaps in work flow to technicians Contact customers when work is completed and arrange timely pick up and deliver of customer machines Manage and maintain customer machine inspection data on shared drive and work with the location Service Manager to ensure data is accurate and timelines are met Fields internal and external customer inquiries to the Service Department, to include answering the phone and being the backup when the Service Manager is out Support setup logistics of Turf products and assist in the delivery process Opens and edit work orders as directed by the Service Manager, and maintain control until they are closed and invoiced Maintains the service library with current information (for example, files bulletins, manuals, multi-media, etc.
) under the direct supervision of the Service Manager Maintains Service Department filing, mailing and records Updates customer profiles or other information from the customer work orders Maintains accessories and supplies and prepares replacement orders including the first aid cabinet, checking the fire extinguishers & eye wash stations weekly per the Safety Manager Supports safety compliance, paperwork, quarterly inspections, safety training paperwork, and OSHA logs per the Safety Manager Schedules and tracks all oil changes, service work and DOT maintenance for shop vehicles, including delivery and pickup of these vehicles Makes sure warranty parts are cleared out monthly, and will help with parts inventory Ensures new tools are inscribed, loaded to ToolsGuard and stored properly in the tool room and maintains a clean and organized tool room May assist in the shop as necessary (PDI Turf mowers, unloading new equipment etc) Running parts or working as a driver when necessary Prepare and distribute Service Technician productivity & efficiency reports May assist sales department with inventory tracking and finding serial numbers as needed per Service Manager Coordinates with an outside local retailer in Grand Forks for setup of new John Deere equipment sold at their retail location, inputs all machines sold by local retailer in the John Deere Systems, coordinates all pre-delivery of machines sold, and schedules all repairs of machines as needed for local retailer.
Must be able to work every other Saturday that the service department is open and a 45 hours plus per week Must be able to maintain reliable attendance What we are looking for: Basic knowledge of accounting practices Excellent people/speaking skills Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions Knowledge of office procedures General understanding of mechanical/technical terms is preferred High School Diploma or equivalent experience Valid Driver’s License is required, must be able to drive company vehicles based on company standards Total Rewards Package: The opportunity to build a great career path, industry leading benefits, a fun environment, and owners that work right alongside us each day!
