Purpose of Position
The Aircraft Dispatcher position will provide a high level of customer service for University of North Dakota John D.
Odegard School of Aerospace Science flight training students and instructors.
The position provides phone and over the counter support for scheduling, dispatching, processing of flights, and other aviation flight training related request from students, instructors and/or support staff.
Duties & Responsibilities
Processing request for Scheduling, Dispatch, and Invoicing for students/instructors:
Process request for flight training scheduling, dispatch and invoicing of AATD training according to establish procedures.
Monitor flight scheduling status, dispatching need for potential scheduling problems.
Invoice flight and ground briefing promptly and file all documents according to established procedures.

Processing request for information, data, and essential materials for students/instructors or supervisor:
Process request for data or services requested by student/instructor.
Process request for data or information requested by supervisor.
Run reports and investigate areas of concern or as requested by supervisor.
Process information and route information, data or materials to designated individuals or departments.

Communicate/Coordinate with AATD Maintenance and Supervisor:
Maintain current information of AATD status and coordinate with AATD Maintenance
Update supervisor on AATD demands as needed.

Other daily functions and Administrative duties:
Assist with training and supervision of part-time employees
Process opening and closing according to established procedures.
Assist with the supervising of student and part-time employees.
Process corrections as requested or required.
File all flight and department documents according to establish procedures.
Process end of the month reconciliation and procedures.
Process all flight records for achieving, filing and/or destruction.
Other department duties as assigned.

FAA Test Center – Testing Proctor:
Administer FAA written and PSI exams.
Coordinate with PSI and the FAA for test administration and accuracy.
Maintain testing equipment according to PSI requirements.
Train personnel in administering FAA and PSI tests.
Coordinate with records to ensure accuracy.
Troubleshoot computer issues with PSI via phone.

Must be able to complete PSI testing requirements.
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma and at least 4 years of administrative, office/clerical, and/or customer service experience,
OR Associate degree and 1 years of administrative, office/clerical, and/or customer service experience.
Minimum of 2 years customer service experience.
Working knowledge of MS Office (including Excel and Access) and Windows.
1-2 years of supervisory experience.
Successful completion of a Standard Criminal History Background Check

Experience working in a college setting, and/or with students from diverse backgrounds.
