The Olive Ann Hotel Core Values Excellence Perseverance Integrity Collaboration SUMMARY As a Turndown Attendant, you would be responsible for preparing guest rooms in the evening, turning down the bed linens, providing amenities, and creating a welcoming and comfortable environment for guests before bedtime.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES Have a set number of occupied rooms to clean during a shift.
Removes used towels and replaces them with clean ones from the Linen Closet.
Removes Room Service trays, dishes and carts to service landings.
Closes drapes, reduces lighting, turn music on softly and prepares bed.
Restocks used amenities such as shampoo, lotions, cotton balls, stationery and pens.
Prepares unoccupied rooms for turndown for arriving guests.
Provide a second Housekeeping service to guests in the evening hours; refreshing used towels and amenities, cleaning the bathroom, emptying trash, remaking bed (if needed); preparing room for "bedtime".
Wipes down any wet surfaces in the bathroom.
Folds any clothing left in room and places it in appropriate spot.
Performs full Room Attendant duties in occupied rooms and late check-out rooms when needed.
Assists with responsibilities and duties in the absence or heavy volume in the areas of Lobby Attendant, Desk Attendant and House Attendant.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Collaborative attitude.
Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations related to food, safety and sanitation.
Ability to work proactively and independently while fostering a workplace based on teamwork.
Ability to meet the physical demands of standing, walking, squatting and lifting extended periods of time.
Ability to read, to answer phones, to write emails and other correspondence.
Knowledge of chemical cleaning agents and operation of cleaning equipment.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends, and holidays.
