Job Title: Executive Assistant to the VPAA
Location: Mayville State University, Mayville, ND
Compensation: $36,000-$48,000, depending on experience
Benefits: Includes single or family health care coverage (health premiums paid 100% by the university), basic life insurance, EAP, retirement plan, tuition waiver, annual and sick leave.

Position Details:
The office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs serves as the focal point for meeting all the academic needs of the University, including management of academic divisions, hiring, tenure, promotion and development of faculty, coursework and curriculum development, accreditation, establishing and maintaining academic standards for students.
The Academic Affairs office is seeking an Executive Assistant with outstanding communication and management support skills to provide services to faculty, staff and students, clerical and general office assistance, good judgement, discretion, and independent initiative.
The Executive Assistant supports the Vice President for Academic Affairs and interacts with the President, Cabinet members, students, faculty, staff, as well as members of the public.
The highest level of professionalism and integrity must be maintained at all times.
Responsibilities and Duties Include:
Coordinate and schedule committee meetings within areas overseen by the office of the VPAA such as the Curriculum Committee, Academic Standards Committee, Division Chairs, and so on.
Perform a wide variety of administrative tasks, including managing deadline-oriented communications, data entry, drafting and editing of correspondence, reports and other materials.
Assist in managing departmental budgets.
Manage tenure and promotion process, review and evaluation process, and faculty contracts.
Act as a project manager for specified university publications and special events.
Act as a liaison between Vice President for Academic Affairs Office and various campus and off-campus constituents in order to coordinate the workflow and special projects of this office.
Coordinate travel arrangements for the VPAA and others as appropriate.
Manage data and records for VPAA Office.
May supervise work-study students.

Minimum Qualifications:
Proficient level of knowledge of Microsoft Office
Associate Degree with at least three years of related job experience, or
5 years of clerical and/or administrative experience
