Summary of Work
Grand Forks Human Service Zone partners with the Department of Health and Human Services to deliver exceptional Economic Assistance programs to our community.
The Eligibility Support Specialist (18-00-5484) assists the Economic Assistance team through administrative, programmatic, and client support.
This position works with Economic Assistance programs including Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF), Health Care Coverage, Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Low-Income Energy Assistance, Child Care Assistance, Healthy Steps and General Assistance.
Program training is provided for this position.
Minimum Qualifications
Requires the completion of a High School Diploma and/or GED AND one of the following:
Completion of the eligibility worker one-year certificate program
Completion of 90 semester hours or 135 quarter hours of a bachelor's degree program
Three years of work experience involving processing of claims, loans, financial eligibility benefits, credit reviews, abstracts, taxes, housing assistance, or working in the clerical accounting, bookkeeping, legal, financial, business, teaching, investments/financial planning, or computer/data processing fields.
Three years of any combination of education and experience listed above.
