Grant Preparation Officer 494428 Grand Forks, North Dakota, United States VP Research & Economic Dev Administrative/Professional Hybrid Remote Full-time Staff Closing on: Mar 21 2024 Salary/Position Classification $53,000 Annual, Exempt 40 hours per week 100% Remote Work Availability: Yes Hybrid Work Availability: Yes Purpose of Position The purpose of this position is to provide proposal development, support, and review for Behavioral Health Research in accordance with federal, state, and commercial contractual requirements and University policies and regulations.
This work is done in coordination with the other office staff and encompasses all aspects of proposal preparation for financial awards.
Duties & Responsibilities Preparing and submitting external funding proposals with Principal Investigators (PI) at UND to ensure proposal guidelines are met.
Coordinate with stakeholders to develop proposal budgets that are in alignment with the work scope of the proposed project, the guidelines of proposal calls, and UND policies.
Identifying funding opportunities develop a database of faculty research interests tracking relevant dates and opportunities.
Regular communication with stakeholders.
Support to researchers in developing and writing supporting documentation for proposals and other publications.
Coordinate the preparation and polishing of research highlights with faculty & staff.
Develop internal marketing material and web content to promote the research capabilities of the BHR team.
Other duties as assigned Required Competencies Must have significant experience with MS Office applications to include Word, Excel, & Outlook Must have robust computer skills.
Must be detail oriented and accurate.
Must have strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication, and organizational skills and have demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines.
Must be self-motivated.
Must be able to function independently as well as part of a team.
Must be flexible in an environment of continually changing priorities.
Must possess maturity to handle confidentiality of sensitive information.
Must demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and critical analyses abilities.
Must have ability to make sound business decisions.
Minimum Requirements Bachelor’s degree Experience interpreting and applying policies and procedures.
Experience working with contracts and / or agreements.
Three or more combined years of experience in the areas of budget, accounting, or financial administration.
Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications Master’s degree Two years directly related experience.
Experience in a university setting.
Experience using PeopleSoft HRMS / Finance modules or other ERP applications.
