Grant Analyst 494117 Grand Forks, North Dakota, United States CEM Research Institute Accounting/Finance Full-time Staff Closing on: Jan 7 2024 Salary/Position Classification $52,000+ commensurate on experience, Annual, Exempt 40 hours per week 100% Remote Work Availability: No Hybrid Work Availability: No Purpose of Position The position will be a hybrid between pre-award and post-award, with the following major job responsibilities: Assist faculty and staff in preparing and submitting external funding proposals Analysis of grant expenses and budget progress Complete monthly and periodic reporting Complete project closeout for expiring grants Duties & Responsibilities Analyze faculty and staff external funding proposals by contacting funding agencies concerning specific programs, eligibility, grant preparation guidelines, etc.
Analyze grant expenses and budget progress by utilizing monthly reports to analyze current spending and identify potential concern areas Complete monthly and periodic reporting that is provided to manage grant effort reporting Complete project closeout for expiring grants Required Competencies Strong communication skills (written and oral) Meticulous attention to detail Excellent organizational and prioritization skills Ability to multi-task and manage complex administrative processes Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills Ability to solve issues independently Ability to work collaboratively across all institutional lines The demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a diverse community of students, faculty, and staff with tact and diplomacy Minimum Requirements Requires a Bachelor's degree with a major in business administration, accounting, or a related field, or two years of college and three years of directly related work experience.
Microsoft Office skills to include Word, Excel, and Outlook Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
